Final Estimates Level 2 (CTQP)
The Final Estimates Level 2 course is an advanced training program designed to prepare construction professionals to manage, compile, verify, and process all documentation required for progress payments and final estimates in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) specifications, the Construction Project Administration Manual (CPAM), and CTQP requirements.
This course is part of the FDOT Final Estimates Training and Qualification Program, which establishes a standardized level of administrative, technical, and analytical knowledge for personnel responsible for ensuring accurate financial documentation in construction projects.
Final Estimates Level 2 builds upon the foundational concepts learned in Level 1 and focuses on higher-level responsibilities, including contract interpretation, documentation validation, and final payment preparation. Participants are trained to ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and fully compliant with contract requirements before final payment is issued.
Course Overview
The Final Estimates Level 2 training provides an in-depth understanding of the processes required to manage construction payment documentation at a project level. Participants learn how to compile and verify all supporting records necessary to process progress payments and finalize contract documentation.
This course emphasizes the importance of accuracy and accountability in financial reporting. Participants are trained to review quantities, validate documentation, and ensure that all records align with contract specifications and FDOT requirements.
In addition, the course covers key elements such as contract language, documentation procedures, and materials acceptance, allowing participants to develop a complete understanding of how construction payments are calculated and processed. By the end of the training, students are prepared to take full responsibility for managing final estimates documentation.
