What Is the Asphalt Paving Level 2 Qualification?
The CTQP Asphalt Paving Level 2 qualification, administered under Florida’s Construction Training and Qualification Program (CTQP), certifies the experienced roadway technician, private consultant, or contractor employee knowledgeable in specification requirements, paver and roller operations, balancing of the paving operation, uniformity of the mat, and the components of hot mix asphalt placement — capable of identifying trends, problem areas, and adjusting paving operations as necessary, in accordance with FDOT specifications.
