The Asphalt Plant Level 2 Training Course is designed to provide advanced training for technicians and Department personnel involved in asphalt plant operations and quality control processes. The written examination lasts approximately four hours and consists of multiple-choice questions designed to evaluate the participant’s understanding of asphalt plant operations and quality control procedures.

Course Prerequisites

Participants must have successfully completed the Department Asphalt Concrete Plant Inspection Self-Study Examination (CQC version) and must also have at least 90 days of experience in asphalt plant operations.
These prerequisites ensure that participants already have a basic understanding of asphalt plant procedures before enrolling in this advanced training course.
Written Examination
At the conclusion of the course, participants must complete a four-hour open book written examination consisting of multiple-choice questions. The examination is electronically graded by the CTQP Administrator, and a minimum passing score of 70 percent is required.
Participants should allow approximately two weeks for grading and posting of examination results after completing the test.
Although attending the Asphalt Plant Level 2 Training Course is strongly encouraged to gain a full understanding of the material, course attendance is not strictly required for qualification.
