New Trainee ID (TIN) Required for CTQP Exams Effective September 1, 2025 Effective September 1, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing a new process for all Construction Training and Qualification Program (CTQP) exam applications. To improve the accuracy of our records and prevent the creation of duplicate accounts, all technicians will be required to use a permanent CTQP Trainee ID (TIN) to register for exams.

All trainees seeking the Drilled Shaft Inspector qualification must:

(1) Obtain on-site experience in which at least he/she has directly observed, inspected, and recorded the full installation of at least five (5) shafts using the wet method under the supervision of a CTQP-qualified Drilled Shaft Inspector (DSI).

Drilled Shaft Inspection written examination is an open-book, a maximum of 2-1/4 hours. The passing score for the written examination is 70%.

Applicants will be allowed to challenge the DSI written examination without attending the class presentations for qualification
